For the Liquid Becomings European Pavilion 2024 series, we are in conversation with academic Jason Hickel who proposes alternative anti-growth models. He is a professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona whose research and writing focuses on economic anthropology and development. Interview by Godelieve van Heteren.
Our second guest, Alfredo Martins is a Portugese theatre maker at the intersection of research, acting, directing and producing. He is one of the core curatorial team working in the European Pavilion and is leading the programme of closing events in Lisbon 7-9 November. Liquid Becomings by Espaço Agora Now is the European Pavilion 2024, commissioned by The European Cultural Foundation.
